I have the full kit also. I used it with no e3v6 heatsinks with just the 50mm tubes it worked but when my heatsinks with the 6mm thread arrived i added them for even better cooling.
I still use the stock fan setup but bloxked the middle vent and only use the side vents.

I just looked at the tap I used from my snapon kit and its 8mm 1.00
The tap in the kit says m61
I just used the snapon. One as it was already in the holder.
Ok, so we now know that the helicoils arenât standard amongst brands. Mine is Stanley brand and the tap is 7.42 mm with a 1mm pitch, which seems kind of silly. I donât know why theyâd go with a non-standard thread size.
was still having problems so switched to a ramps 1.4

Yes I can give you all the calibration I used
Other than that its just mounting the ramps board and display and connecting wires to plugs
Along the way doing this I learned how to override the software endstopps which in turn made installing the e3dv6 hotends a piece of cake.
I am using aPie 3 with Astroprint as my other P3is having a problem. After switching internet providers. I get a fe80 IP address that I need help with.

^will these work? i have a full metric tap kit so should be set for the tools, so just the coils should be all i need correct?
