Zeepro Support Documents

Since I have been seeing the rumor that Zeepro is dead I decided it may be a good idea to back up all of the documents off of the support page.

I printed them all to .PDF and was wondering if anyone had a good way I could upload them so that other people could get them if they need them. I also have one version of the firmware that might be a good thing for me to put up for people as well. If anyone has a place for me to store them let me know and I will upload them.

FYI The prints are very large due to the number of pictures and the whole folder is about 1.1GB so that may change hosting solutions.

Oh man, how about a google doc?

Good idea Winstondon. I uploaded all of them to my google drive and made a shareable link. I haven’t used the share function of google drive before so let me know if this link doesn’t work.

Thank you.

It seems to work for the two example documents I tried.
But the files are huge. Why?

I’m not sure why they are huge. I just did a print to pdf in Google Chrome and those were the sizes I got. If some one has adobe acrobat maybe they could compress them or something.

Maybe this helps:

Thanks-- that relieves my anxiety a bit about being abandoned.

I vacuumed the support site down and relinked the pictures to local copies instead of the hosted ones. I can browse the whole site without an internet connection. I copied it up to the new zim-resources GitHub repo:

I tried to view the files but it just shows them in html code not something that is actually helpful to read. Is there a way to get github to show them in regular web format to read them? (sorry I’m haven’t used github before)

Github (“Git” really, github is a frontend to git) is a source control tool. It is only designed to provide revisions access, branching, forking, history, etc for the source. You would want to download the source and open it in a web browser to see rendered html content.strong text

There is a Download as ZIP button on the zim-resources page, one level up.

I just added the following directions to the Readme in that folder:

You can’t view it as a Web page from GitHub. If you don’t use Git you’ll need to [download the zim-resources repository] (https://github.com/zeepro-zim/zim-resources/archive/master.zip) as a ZIP file. When you expand that, go into the folder and then into the support-docs folder and double-click on [home.html] (home.html) to view it in your browser as usual.

If you do use git you probably know how to clone the repository using the [clone URL] (https://github.com/zeepro-zim/zim-resources) for the same result.

Looks like everything lives here now, too:

Would an admin be able to edit the link at the top of the forum?

Done! thanks @driph
