[Stock Firmware] Layer 2 too high, what gives?

I’ve got two Zims. One I’m leaving stock until I get the other one’s OctoPrint setup ironed out.

On the stock one, I just wanted to print something. But every time I do, it jumps up like a millimeter to do the second layer. I’ve tried with and without rafts. I’ve leveled the bed several different ways. I tried lowering the nozzle and the bed. I’ve tried different settings. I’m totally mystified about this.

When I do a raft of 2 layers, layer 1 goes down great. Same with brims.

When I leveled the bed, I used my spatula instead of a piece of paper. It’s exactly 0.35mm thick.

Anybody have any ideas?

Im leveling my bed with a precison 0,10mm metal sheet. Maybe 0,35 is too much? You dont have adesion problems with first layer?

I’ll try with a feeler gauge on a smaller gauge. But as it is the first layer looks perfect. The second layer jumps up over a millimeter. Even when using the stock presets.
