Printing spool holder height help

Okay so I got my OctoZIM up and running . I am having some trouble I am trying to print this spool holder which I assume some of you use. http://www.instructables.com/id/Zim-Filament-Spool-Adapter-Project/

Here is my issue this has happen on 3 back to back prints it prints 60 % and then it stops? I even spilt the parts up and tried to print it solo did the same thing is there a height setting or something I am missing

it should be another 2/3 inches taller it seems as if as the object prints up^ the temps start to drop to where the extruder isnt hot enough and the filament stops coming out and looses it’s spot

This completly fixed my issue!.. ugh i wasted so much filament .i missed this setting .>while rushing i missed the “4. Last, change the max fan speed to 40”… i knew it was a issue. so i have a question i am a completley new to this all together so i am slowly learning the program slic3r and so on… anyways so is this a general rule of thumb on printing objects that are a certain height? … like i said almost all of my smaller prints for not being completely tuned have been very clean no oozing or any of that type of stuff.is there a guide online somewhere about all this?

As far as print guides go, this one has been invaluable to me:

It’s not Zim specific, but it does tackle most of the common issues you’ll run into.

Also, good job figuring out the cold nozzle thing.
