i was wondering if there was any interest in a plug n play upgrade to octoprint without any hardware mods?
I see many have had to deal with a superglued USB port and buying a pi to hack together a solution. The pi likely has its advantages, as the A10 does tend to pause every 20 min or so for random reasons, not sure if that is an A10 issue or my own setup. Anyway, if there’s demand, i might spend the time to make something more official for those in the need.
How many zim owners are still stuck on original jank firmware? Please speak up
I just picked up a second zim, given these are being cleared out at pennies on the dollar. One of my friends is interested in getting one if the effort to first print is low, so I’m invested. I can just go and run through the few hour installation/config for octo, same as i’ve done, or i can spend time working on making this universal if there’s a greater demand.
I’ll be of course riding on the @jpod train and utilizing much of what this forum has offered, but making it more accessible seems appropriate.
