Stupidity alert!!!
Witth the increased problems and concerns with spares and maintenance why not use the zim structure, that seems solid enough and well done, and adapt it to work with the most common parts used in some of the “DiY” printers out there? Is his hard to do technically speaking?
My USB port on Zim is dead…ill need some alternative to that soon enough…
Clogged nozzles…easier to buy one that already exists in a mainstream printer.
The motors are pretty much standard to my knowledge…
If we manage to adapt the heater blocks we should have most of the problems solved.
Dont know…im no expert but i think that is the most logical route for us…otherwise our Zims will ultimately die…And i dont have the time or pacience to be constantly trying to fix the printer.
