Meta-zeepro - Yocto Project / Openembedded Support

Hi team,

Has anyone else out there worked with the openembedded build system? I am playing around with creating a meta-zeepro layer that would allow us to build custom images for a range of host controllers, tailored to the Zeepro setup.

I know it’s achievable on a Raspberrry Pi, but I am hoping of supporting the existing CubieBoard clone used in the printer.

It would be good to have some support while working on this project - any keen devs out there?

While perhaps a cool project, I’m not really sure why this is necessary. There’s not exactly a large community around this printer (or even the CubieBoard), and there’s little need to change the current OctoPrint image aside from a few bugs. On top of that, it’s not particularly difficult to update OctoPrint.

Don’t want to discourage you, but it seems like your time might be better spent elsewhere.
