I bought an anti-backlash nut for my leadscrew

How much of a pain is it going to be to install? I’ve been getting some weird z-wobble and odd behavior at a specific build height.

Hm. I thought the z axis wasnt a leadscrew…

But, even if it is, the z axis usually only moves in one direction, so backlash shouldnt be a concern at all.

X/y would benefit if it had screws since its so much back and forth.

If you found a leadscrew that fits, can you share?
Edit - or if it comes with leadscrew already, what pitxh is it? Thanks!

It does have a leadscrew. According to another post here, it is a 8mm screw, 2mm pitch. I didn’t see anything about starts so I assumed four since that’s most common for 3D printers. I really should have just ordered a new screw. I’ve started getting noticeable wobble that is consistent with a bent screw.

Ah. So it does have a leadscrew. Just found pics. Hmm. make sure ot take some before/after prints and see how it goes!

The nut I bought is too big. Sigh. I have some serious Z banding, and I’m not sure what to do about it.

Pics of z banding? Might be something someone can suggest

I had a hard time capturing the banding with my phone camera. It’s much more pronounced than it appears in the photo.
