Borders / first layer didn't stick with glue

I’ve heard of some people using a 1mm carbon fiber sheet. Has anyone here tried that with their Zim?

I have used like every available thing there is I guess

  • BuildTak
  • Capton Tape
  • Carbon Fiber print plate
  • BlueTape
  • ABS Slurry
  • Glue
  • Hairspray
    and several other esotheric stuff

BlueTape works very well for me, especially as it does PLA and ABS.
Capton Tape was only good for ABS, but I think its too expensive. BuildTak worked well but is too expensive and easily damaged.
The permanent build carbon plate works very good, but its pricey and it was difficult to make it level, as you have to glue it to something as the plate is not level at all. The other permanent build plate works good as well and was easier to make it level and I liked the detach it and bend it to get the print off easy. But it isolated heated bed a little.
What I like about the permanent build plates is that after they cool down, the printed pieces get off more easy, whereas blue tape or hairspray still sticks like hell.
Hairspray worked well as well, but often resulted in having to remove the build plate and use a hammer to smash it off and the bottom surface looks bad than.

I don’t like to advertise but as BuildTak is already on the table, here is where I bought my permanent build plates from:

But the most important thing is the small gap between nozzle and build plate. Its 0.05mm what makes a huge difference in sticking perfect and starting to curl at the edges or small things like support. And with that you are able to choose the adhesion to what piece you print.
So level your print bed perfectly!!!
I printed a huge solid disc and had to small it to pieces in the end, because it would not get off.
