Anyone looking to part with their heated bed?

Please PM me. Must be working :stuck_out_tongue:

hey jpod
:stuck_out_tongue: I went crazy and purchased these parts from reprap.me (shipping can be long to US, because they are in Europe)

http://reprap.me/alu-243.html (with the Thermistor 100K SMD)

Magnets

with those parts and a power supply I got a heat bed up and running, but it was quite heavy which comes with too much vibrationā€¦ still tweaking it to see if I can make it lighter. (thinking to just print on the aluminum heat bed.

Thanks for the info Winston. King Martin also posted some instructions for building one a while back. I may go this route if I canā€™t find a zeepro unit. So far the one zeepro one I have works great though. With PEI as a surface, prints stick like anything when heated, and pop right off when cool. Magical stuff!

Yes, Iā€™ve posted a ā€œhowToā€:

Iā€™m not satisfied with the magnets as you need to have a thermal barrier betweeen the hot bed and the magnets:will post an update in the next 2 weeks!

did you ever create a thermal barrier between the hotbed and the magnets? If so how did you solve it?

mica is quite efficient. Zeepro used Mica for their HB
